  • Have a clear knowledge of the programmes, admission policies, rules & regulations of the institution
  •  Appreciate the institutional goals & objectives and contribute to the realization of the same by participating in relevant institutional activities
  •  Make themselves aware of University rules and regulations, including disciplinary regulations, pertaining to their rights and responsibilities as a student and with health and safety procedures particularly in respect of laboratories and field trips.

  •  Be familiar with course information made available to them and raise any queries in an appropriate manner with the academic staff member concerned.

Role and Responsibility

Physiotherapy is a very promising, rewarding and a satisfactory profession as paramedical science has a larger role & responsibility in a hospital scenario. After clearing the licensing examination of a given country, it opens up wide opportunities for the physiotherapists in the health industry.

    • Prescribing remedial exercises
    • Muscle strength evaluation & quantification
    • Physical treatment by electrotherapy modalities like diathermy, ultrasonic therapy, contrast bath, cryotherapy, hydrocollator, whirlpool therapy, trans-electric muscle stimulation, infra-red therapy, ultraviolet therapy etc and also different therapeutic exercises by automated machines.
    • Evaluating balance in neurologically affected patients.
    • Apply manual therapy, mobilization, manipulation of soft tissue techniques etc.
    • Wheelchair and gait training with or without ambulatory aids.
    • Aid in-home evaluation to make the environment barrier-free and accessible.
    • Improving the status of patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
Career Opportunities

  • Currently there is demand for Physiotherapy specialty, opportunities are excellent. Graduates with this qualification are recognized throughout India and abroad. Physiotherapy is delivered in a variety of settings which allow it to achieve its purpose.
